Two Day West Snaefellsnes Peninsula

Join us on a journey to one of Iceland’s most picturesque and awe-inspiring regions – the Snaefellsnes Peninsula. Our guided tour will take you on a journey through the stunning landscapes, charming fishing villages, and unique geological formations of this remote and unspoiled region.

Our tour will begin in Reykjavik, where we’ll travel through the scenic countryside towards the Snaefellsnes Peninsula. Along the way, we’ll stop at several stunning viewpoints, including the famous Kirkjufell mountain and waterfall, which has been featured in many films and TV shows.

As we arrive at the Snaefellsnes Peninsula, we’ll be greeted by towering cliffs, rugged coastlines, and stunning vistas. Our first stop will be at the iconic black sand beach of Djupalonssandur, where you can walk along the shore and marvel at the stunning rock formations and towering sea stacks.

From there, we’ll visit the charming fishing village of Arnarstapi, where you can explore the quaint streets and visit the historic harbor. We’ll also visit the unique basalt columns and arches of the nearby Londrangar cliffs, which are said to be the remains of ancient volcanic eruptions.

As we continue around the peninsula, we’ll visit the stunning beaches of Ytri-Tunga and Skarosviti, where you can spot seals basking in the sun. We’ll also visit the charming villages of Hellnar and Rif, where you can sample local seafood and learn about the history and culture of the region.

Our tour will conclude with a visit to the iconic Snaefellsjokull glacier, which towers over the peninsula and is said to be the gateway to the center of the earth. You can take a short hike to get up close and personal with the glacier and take in the stunning views of the surrounding countryside.
